2014 Road Program
Summer road work on neighborhood streets has been completed and the next stage of major repairs begins in late August, with resurfacing of Jewell Road from County Farm Road to the river, Winfield Road from Town Center to Geneva Road, and Pleasant Hill Road between Geneva and St. Charles Roads. These major projects are primarily funded through state grants secured by the Village, and the state controls the timing of work. Repairs to curbs will begin before Labor Day, with grinding and resurfacing phases to begin in September and conclude in October. These roads will remain open during construction but may be reduced to single lane traffic during construction work. Please click below to see a map illustrating the type and location of work planned for the coming week, which will be updated each Friday. Construction Map
DuPage County – County Farm Road Resurfacing Project
DuPage County recently awarded a construction contract for the resurfacing of various County highways. As part of this contract, County Farm Road, from Roosevelt Road to Jewell Road, will be improved. The general scope of work will include milling and resurfacing County Farm Road to extend its existing service life and improve rideability. Additional improvements such as pavement patching, curb and gutter repairs, sidewalk replacement and drainage structure adjustments may also be included. The work will be performed under traffic with no permanent lane closures anticipated. Access to abutting properties will be maintained during construction.
Work is currently scheduled to begin the week of August 4, 2014 and extend through the end of September. The contractor will be restricted from blocking lanes before 8:30 AM and after 4 PM Monday through Friday.
