SUSPICIOUS PERSON/VEHICLE SAFETY NOTICE FOR WINFIELD RESIDENTS
On Friday evening, July 18, 2014 at approximately 6:10 P.M. Winfield officers were dispatched to a residence near Winfield Estates Park, off of Brandon Blvd. regarding a suspicious person/vehicle.
A 13 year old male victim was riding his bicycle in the area of Winfield Estates Park when an unknown male suspect, who was sitting in his vehicle called out to the victim. The victim did not hear what the suspect said, so he rode his bicycle by the suspect vehicle a second time. The victim then believed that the suspect stated "hey you, come get in the car". The victim was then alarmed and went to a neighboring house and advised them what had just occurred. The neighbor called 911 at this time.
-The suspect is described as the following:
male white, 20's to 30's, dark hair, wearing a white shirt.
-The suspect vehicle was described as:
an older white or gray SUV with dark windows
Winfield Officers checked the immediate and surrounding areas and were unable to locate the suspect or the vehicle. The suspect did not leave his vehicle or make any aggressive movements toward the victim.
Winfield residents are advised to call 911 if they see a vehicle matching this description or any suspicious vehicle. If you have additional information, please contact Detective Gerry McIntyre at 630-933-7160
